The Malaysia Autoshow is back this year, from the 26th to the 29th of April 2018, at MAEPS, Serdang. This year, the fourth edition of the event, promises a more comprehensive and immersive experience! In line with its theme for the year – ‘360-degree Mobility Experience’, the Malaysia Autoshow 2018 promises an in-depth outlook of the automotive industry!

With that said, this year’s Autoshow promises an experience that is family-friendly! Everyone from kids to adults can attend the Malaysia Autoshow 2018 without being out of place. In line with the Intelligent Mobility Experience (IMEX), ORS Technologies Sdn. Bhd. will be organizing a series of activities in conjunction with IMEX to promote 3D technologies and innovation, catered for the whole family.

The activities include, Portrait Lithopane Scanning, 3D Doodle, Junior Engineer, Prosthetic Hand Challenge, Creative Circuit and a Coding Workshop. These events will be held at their booth at Hall D in MAEPS, Serdang from the 26-29th of April 2018.

The Portrait Lithopane Scanning allows visitors to have their own portrait picture printed out using a 3D printer. In contrast to the Portrait Lithopane Scanning, the 3D Doodle activity enables visitors to design their own 3D form that is related to the automotive industry, such as a car frame. This activity will be divided into 2 levels – the first level catered for kids aged 12 and below while the second level will be suited for participants aged 13-21. Participants will be given 15 minutes to complete their design. Of course, the participants will be able to take home the masterpieces they create during the activity!

Fancy to become an engineer in the automotive industry? Fret not as the Junior Engineer activity enables a participant to assemble and dismantle a RC Car within 15 minutes. This activity will expose participants to the assembly line of the manufacturing process through a fun and interactive platform.

Next, is the Prosthetic Hand Challenge. This fun yet intellectual activity allows kids to learn how to think and solve problems through the assembly of a prosthetic hand.

The next activity, Creative Circuit focuses on the process of constructing an electronic circuit board. The participants can customize lighting effects that will lighten up the Malaysia Autoshow 2018 logo. The circuit board will be the size of a badge and therefore, after completing the activity, participants will be allowed to take the badge home.

Finally, one of the major highlights of the ORS booth, is the Coding Workshop. This workshop is supported by “Micro:bit” where participants of this activity will have the chance to learn basic coding techniques. This activity is divided into three different parts – Autonomous Robocar, “Micro:bit” League and Drag Racing. All three activities consist of minor programming but with different purposes.

The ORS booth, alongside various other exhibitions will be located in Hall D of MAEPS, Serdang and will be happening throughout the Malaysia Autoshow 2018, from the 26th-29th of April 2018.
