The Malaysia Autoshow 2018 returns this year, promising more exciting activities! With so many activities on offer this week, we have created a list of “Top 10 Activities to Experience during the Malaysia Autoshow 2018” to ease your movement throughout this event which will be happening at MAEPS, Serdang from the 26th-29th April 2018.
Some of the biggest automotive brands in the country will be taking part in this year’s show comprising of more than 100 cars, including some of the latest models in the market. One of the major highlights includes the first appearance in Malaysia by the resuscitated legendary German Marque, Borgward. All of these will be taking place in Halls A and C, MAEPS, Serdang.
- Intelligent Mobility Experience (IMEX)
The IMEX is a new addition to the show to allow visitors to immerse themselves in the future of mobility, located in Hall D. This hall is set up specifically to provide a first-hand experience on the elements of future employment and business opportunities, in sectors such as, smart manufacturing, connectivity and will be showcased in IMEX, located in Hall D. Visitors will also be given the opportunity to indulge themselves in fun-filled activities related to the automotive industry.
- Test Drive
Visitors who are interested in buying a new car, or just browsing through latest models, will be given the opportunity to test drive the latest models available in the market at the Test Drive booth. Potential car buyers can experience the car they are planning to purchase on a 3 kilometer-long test drive track that simulates the Malaysian road driving experience. The huge collection of cars is located in one convenient location, a time saver for visitors – avoiding the hassle of booking appointments and travelling between showrooms.
- 4×4 Experience/Off-Road
4WD and off-road enthusiasts can rejoice as the “Toyota 4×4 Experience”, “Mitsubishi Obstacle Course” and participation from no less than 5 off-road clubs allows you to experience the power of 4WD’s on a course that is specifically designed to simulate the performance of these vehicles.
- Karting Experience
The Karting Experience allows visitors of MA2018 to lay back and go easy on this fun-filled activity. With a track specifically built for karting events, participants can experience the thrill of driving a go-kart.
- Safety Demonstrations
One major aspect of a vehicle is its safety. Various safety demonstrations during the Malaysia Autoshow 2018 allows visitors to witness the importance of safety and how autonomous safety technologies help reduce road accidents. Latest safety technology systems such as Perodua’s Autonomous Emergency Braking system (AEB) and Honda’s Honda Sensing Technology will be demonstrated to the public.
- Car Care Week
Car Care Week is a consumer education campaign organized by the Malaysia Automotive Institute (MAI) to educate motoring consumers about the benefits of regular vehicle care, maintenance, and repair. Visitors will have the privilege to get their cars inspected for free, going through a 21-point inspection point, which includes the engine oil levels, brake pad wear, electronics, lighting, body damage, etc. Visitors will then be given advice on their car’s health by professionally trained vehicle inspectors and is not subjected to a particular brand or model.
- Career Fair
The “Career Fair” would be an essential platform for graduates on a job hunt. Organized by Jobsmalaysia Selangor, more than 2000 work opportunities will be available for visitors to register themselves in! Visit the booth on the 28th and 29th of April at Hall D, MAEPS, Serdang.
- Volvo Classic Cars
Revisit the past as classic Volvo class will be up for display at the Malaysia Autoshow 2018! Organized by Classic Volvo Club, a total of 15 cars, such as the Volvo 120 series and its iterations including the 122s, the 123 GT (only 10 known to exist in Malaysia) and Volvo’s only ever sports car, the P1800 will be showcased.
- Music on Wheels
This showcase is for audiophiles. Tehnichi Audio will be showcasing the Simonte ‘Resonance’ Link, a simple device that’s plugged in to your head unit or speaker terminal. This device will allow you to reproduce music with improvements in clarity. It will also help improve the sound dynamics and improve the mid-range output. This in turn improves the overall harmonics of the output, hence better listening pleasure.
- Proton Fast Paced Precision Driving
This event is for the thrill seekers. A fast pace precision driving with the new Persona will be conducted by two of the country’s top drivers – Karamjit Singh and James Veerapan. The course will consist of high-speed slalom and high-speed sweeping corners.
