The Malaysia Autoshow, returns this year, promising an experience like never before! In line with its theme for this year – “360 degrees Mobility Experience”, the Malaysia Autoshow 2018 will allow customers to feel for themselves the thrill of driving a car before buying it.
4WD and off-road enthusiasts can rejoice as the “Toyota 4×4 Experience” allows you to experience the power of the Toyota Hilux and Toyota Fortuner on a course that is specifically designed to simulate the performance of the aforementioned vehicles. This activity will be held exclusively at the Malaysia Autoshow 2018, from the 26th to 27th of April at MAEPS, Serdang.
“Visitors will be able to experience the power of the Toyota Hilux, which is described as a tough and powerful yet comfortable pick-up truck and the Toyota Fortuner, a premium, luxurious 4WD, that is suited for work and play,” said the Toyota Marketing Team.
The course consists of obstacles that tests certain aspects of the car to prove its power and performance on both road and off-road. However, the main emphasis during the Malaysia Autoshow 2018 would be its off-road performance.
The Elephant Ramp, tests the Active Traction Control (A-TRC) which improves the traction of the vehicle on a slippery surface to maintain forward momentum and to enable it to drive on tough terrains. The Side Slope Ramp tests the stability control of the vehicle. The Uphill Ramp, demonstrates the Hill-start Assist Control (HAC) of the vehicle – a feature that prevents the vehicle from rolling back on a steep slope. Finally, the Downhill Ramp, tests the Downhill Assist Control (DAC) of the vehicle. This feature automatically controls the brakes of the car on a steep slope, preventing it from skidding.
The Toyota Marketing Team added, “Visitors will experience the toughness and stability of the vehicle in conquering tough terrains and on-road daily driving. This will help the visitors to better understand the vehicle and experience it before they decide to purchase them”.
